Awareness Raising and Advocacy
Program Objectives
- The purpose is to create an awareness-raising campaign to build an understanding and tolerant community about sickle cells, its treatment and management as well as integration of persons with sickle cells. When supported, the program has lasting impacts on the lives of persons with sickle cells for generations.
- Effective advocacy with relevant stakeholders and parties to advocate for the rights of persons with Sickle cells with emphasis on humanitarian concerns.
- Institutional capacity building of Government and civil society entities at all levels for effective prevention of and response to protection challenges, with a particular focus on the persons living with Sickle cells.
